Science tells us that if you split an atom, it will unleash an almighty explosive energy force. If you believe that, I have news for you. No one is in any danger of causing a colossal explosion by splitting something that is so small, you can't even see it.
To cause a colossal explosion, increase the amount of explosive material that you put in the bomb. Alternatively, you could just pack a lot of smaller bombs together, to create the effect of one large bomb.
