In one respect it doesn't matter whether Assad and his Syrian Forces gassed 70 people on April 4th because the damage has already been done. He has been found guilty by nearly all western mainstream news media. Within hours they were all parroting the same press release to the effect of 'we don't have all the facts but everything points to Assad'. The implication is clear, we are dealing with some kind of monster.
Nothing, it seems, makes people's blood boil like stories of gassing. It is a heinous crime and it will provoke emotion and reaction. Unfortunately, even if it is later proven that it was not Assad, most people will not hear about it. As was the case in 2013 when he was accused of more or less the same thing. The same media reacted the same way. World leaders were outraged. Something had to be done. It transpired later that ISIS brought poison gas into Syria via Turkey.
It appears that Assad has made significant progress in the last few weeks and he is on the brink of victory against ISIS and al-Queda. It makes no sense whatsoever for him to gas his own citizens whom he is in the process of liberating. And it looks like he has nothing to gain from it and a lot to lose. It smacks of war time propaganda and it will surely be used as a pretext for military action by Team America.
What is happening in Syria is the same as what happened to Iraq, Libya etc. but Syria is apparently proving a tougher nut to crack. These countries are being smashed with the connivance of leaders on all sides, even Assad, so that Israel is the supreme power in the region. The Iraq war was not lost by the United States and Britain. It was a success. The country was destroyed. It is a basket case now along with Libya. Endless lies through the media are helping to kill innocent people for regional hegemony. We all need to smarten up to the propaganda for war and stop buying this crap.
