Stephen Hawking is mineral and not vegetable. He is used to forward an agenda, and people need to look more closely.
If you do not believe what I say, look again at footage of him in interviews, Q&A sessions, and documentaries. See how the people around him are, how they act. One minute he is the most brilliant man alive and they are all attentive, next minute they are standing with their backs to him, like he was nobody.
In some interviews, we are told that Stephen was given the questions to the interview in advance so that he can just sit and drool and no one will wonder too much. You will be too busy feeling sorry for him to realize what is going on.
Watch Daire O'Briain's 2013 BBC documentary. Stephen doesn't laugh at the jokes because he doesn't get them. You will never see him aside an interviewer and laughing directly in response to them. They edit shots to make it appear that he has laughed at the right moment. He does not understand what is going on. Daire thinks it's great craic.
Listen to Brian Cox apparently interviewing Stephen on radio. Hear ham actor Brian stutter out his questions and then the timely and lengthy responses supposedly from Stephen. Listen to interaction. Judge for yourself.
They role him out in front of audiences, hit the play button and everyone is dazzled. People are in awe and inspired, not comprehending what is really going on. He is a robot. They use him to sell science.

It's a joke on the people. An Action man in a wheel chair, used to fool the masses into believing outer space is real. It's fantasy to trick you and hypnotise you, and you don't even bother to consider why it might be important. You are dreaming. When will you wake up.
